Samantha was born and raised in Holland, Michigan, spending the bulk of her childhood on the sandy beaches of Lake Michigan. Growing up with dyslexia, she struggled learning to read and write, falling behind her classmates. She credits her love of stories (and the help of a gifted tutor) in overcoming her learning setbacks. Now she’s an avid reader and writer of horror, mystery and SFF, bringing many of her own struggles with mental health and neurodiversity to life within her characters.
After moving to Chicago to attend film school at Columbia College, Samantha discovered a love for photography. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her partner. She spends her weekends with a camera in hand as a portrait, event and studio photographer. Her nights are spent watching horror movies, eating donuts and reading Stephen King.
Samantha is represented by Courtney Paganelli at Levine Greenberg Rostan Literary Agency.
